About us

AsiaWE Review is published by the Asia West-East (AsiaWE) Center. The Asia West-East (AsiaWE) Centre is a regional research centre dedicated to the studies of security, diplomacy, and socio-political, economic, cultural, and social developments in the east and west of Asia and its wider geostrategic and economic environments.

East Asia includes West Asia which refers to the Middle East and Southeastern and Northeastern countries with a special focus on ASEAN.

To achieve these objectives, AsiaWE conducts a wide range of research programs and holds conferences, workshops, lectures, and seminars.

AsiaWE Review is another tool to achieve the aforementioned objectives.

AsiaWE Review provides a venue for analysts and experts to disseminate content on a wide range of subjects about ASEAN and the Middle East, oftentimes overlooked or under-represented by Western-dominated media.

Observers often follow major developments in the Middle East and ASEAN regions separately. However, the AsiaWE founders noticed the lack of attention to relations between developments in these regions and their mutual effects.

According to AsiaWE, this gap needs to be filled in by accurate monitoring, research of ongoing activities, and establishing connections or disruptions in the required communication.

AsiaWE Review seeks to showcase, in a readable and accessible fashion, excellent research in socio-political, economic, and geostrategic trends in ASEAN and the Middle East.

AsiaWE Review aims to publish independent and non-partisan commentaries and analyses to inform and educate readers, policymakers, scholars, the media, and corporates interested in the issues of ASEAN and the Middle East.

The views and opinions expressed here do not represent those of AsiaWE.

AsiaWE Review welcomes contributions from scholars, researchers, analysts, and policy experts.
